Where Indian Streets Speak in Type
Typeface and graphic designer Pooja Saxena documents the rich variety of fonts found on Indian streets, archiving them through her Instagram project India Street Lettering. What began in 2017 with a striking shop sign in Panjim—featuring a flamboyant, intricately designed ‘B’ grew into a larger exploration of everyday typography. Through initiatives like #36DaysOfType, she continues to celebrate the character, creativity, and cultural nuance embedded in street lettering across India.
