SAI Sanctuary: India’s Only Private Wildlife Haven
Founded in 1991 by Pamela Gale Malhotra and Anil Malhotra, SAI Sanctuary stands as a remarkable testament to dedication and ecological restoration. Over the years, it has grown into a thriving haven, protecting hundreds of endangered species and showcasing the power of individual action in conservation. Today, the 300-acre sanctuary shelters over 200 endangered species, highlighting the extraordinary impact of individual commitment to conservation.
In 1991 Pamela Gale Malhotra and her husband, Dr. Anil Malhotra opened the only private wildlife sanctuary in India, SAI Sanctuary. Now, 26 years later, their 300-acre sanctuary is home to more than 200 endangered species, ranging from the Asian elephant to the Indian King Cobra.
